PIPS was initially created specifically to help employers by providing a good value, flexible pension scheme for their employees.
Many employers do not wish to research the many pension scheme options and are happy to join into an industry-wide facility whereby the complex issues have been thoroughly researched.
PIPS is a nationwide scheme with hundreds of companies in membership.
Through economies of scale the Management Committee working closely with the scheme advisers are able to negotiate the best terms and conditions with the product providers.
In recent times Government have repeatedly changed employer requirements regarding pension scheme availability. In 2001 Government legislated for employers to provide a Stakeholder or exempt pension scheme for their employees.
During that period PIPS were instrumental in helping around 1000 companies in meeting their legal requirements.
