Auto enrolment

The principle change in workplace pensions brought about by the Pensions Act 2008 is that all employees will have to opt out of an occupational pension plan of their employer, rather than opt in. This is referred to as automatic enrolment.

As an employee you may already be a member of a company pension scheme through an existing PIPS Scheme and your employer will have made the necessary arrangements to ensure that their company complies with auto enrolment legislation.
